Great Italian food! Love the make your own pasta dish and the garlic wine sauce is delicious.
Me, I love my fettuccini alfredo pasta dish and their sauce is the best.
Their prices are good for the amount of food you receive and I always see people enjoying their wine with their meals.
Do not pass up on the garlic bread! Make sure you use it to clean your plate of all the sauce and then enjoy your bread on its own.
While in town, my Dad took us to one of his favorite spots, Fratellino’s, for lunch.
Its got a great Italian restaurant vibe inside and the staff is efficient and friendly.
We ordered lunch all the way around and the adults got a complimentary glass of house wine included! All our dishes were great. My son is a bit of a spaghetti and meatballs aficionado and gave his stamp of approval on their’s. My pescetarian daughter LOVED their vegetarian hoagie (I tasted it and it was really great). I had the hot and spicy Italian hoagie and it was fantastic.
My dad ordered a meal that included a giant scoop of Spumoni which we gladly helped him finish. Great place, great food and a real bargain.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This place is a sleeper hit in Brea (at least to me). I imagine it’s popular amongst the locals who know this place serves quality food at an affordable price.
Came here with family for an early dinner and it was packed. Our server was very polite and accommodating. My was pizza was delicious and everyone else enjoyed their dishes. Would be interested in eventually working my way through the menu.
Until then, kudos to this place on a solid meal in a family-friendly environment.
Yummy food I like the it coz it’s free wine n ice cream..The wait was a little long but the food and dessert was excellent. I will return…
This place is located off of Brea Boulevard, in the same shopping plaza as Guitar Center and Goodwill. This place had mixed reviews, but one thing about this place is you get a lot of food, for a reasonable price.
I was in a mood for just pasta and sauce, and there is a section where you can pick different pastas, and sauce, for as little as 10 bucks. All the entrées comes with their freshly made garlic bread.
Karen and I had the angel hair pasta with meat sauce. It’s a simple dish, so I don’t know why it took half an hour to make. The place was busy, and when we sat down, we saw other people were waiting to get their entrées.
The portion was very generous, and a thick slices of garlic bread really hit the spot. Karen said that the meat sauce wasn’t what she was used to, not sure what she meant by that. It was still tasty, and they were chunks of ground beef in the mix. My only complaint was the noodles were a bit overcooked, a bit squishy. I wish it was more al dente.
Overall, it’s a good bang for your buck. For $2.50 more you can make it a complete meal that comes with soup or salad, a glass of wine if you’re over 21, and a scoop of ice cream or dessert. We went a la cart, and I even took home some leftover pasta. 26 bucks for two people wasn’t bad. I will come back again, but maybe this time order the pizza.
If you’re in a hurry don’t stop here… and, add your name to the wait list on Yelp if you’re a big group.
I was pleasantly surprised as this was my first visit. There really isn’t any “good” Italian places in Orange County, so this was a gem! Besides the mishap with our food ticket going missing, the waitress did let us know and we were served piping hot food within minutes! I’m going to do a small rundown:
Appetizer:
Mozzarella cheese sticks – SUPER GREAT. Perfectly cooked
Garlic bread: enough garlic to leave my mouth watering for a few hours (also came fresh from the oven)
Entree: Combinations 1 & 2 were GREAT. Again, the food came out piping hot and everything had plenty of flavor. Antipesto salad: how could you really mess up a salad? Tomato, garlic and basil pene pasta: packed full of flavor; I just wish I was given some more noodles but other then that, it was really good.
Service: besides it taking forever, our waitress was very sweet! She was also very accommodating and our drinks were always filled up! (So yes, she did her job, but she did try to make it as comfortable as possible)
Price: pretty average for Italian ! But worth it because everything was delicious!
Overall, I will definitely be coming back and soon!
Have been coming here for 17yrs. We enjoy their Combo Meals and Entrees. They come with Soup or Salad, a glass of wine, and ice cream Dessert!
Review/Compliment 7/19/19: Today my Family and I went in for lunch, seated right away. Fratellino’s has very good Lunch Menu to choose from! Our waiter was Zach. He was excellent. So well-mannered from the way he addressed our group, it was proper which you rarely see in many restaurants these days. He was attentive and we had a Great experience. Thank You Zach for a lovely lunch experience, not to mention our meals were very Delicious!!!
Enjoyed combo #1 and shrimp and scallop scampi….both had to get to go boxes. Harry, our waiter was very attentive and efficient!!
Enjoyed our food and time here.
I had a birthday party and used Fratellino’s party trays. They were ready at pickup time, heated, in aluminum trays inside sealed boxes to lessen spills, and I was helped out to car. The food was a big hit. The favorite was the chicken Marsala, but everything was delicious. I had ordered the meatballs and sausage in green pepper sauce, chicken parmigiana, chicken Marsala and the baked penne and meat sauce. It came with garlic bread. Again, a happy and delicious party. And I didn’t have to cook. Thanks Fratellino’s
Well another birthday party and again went to Fratellino’s for food. Ordered the he sausage and meatballs in sauce, chicken Alfredo, chicken Marsala, and penne in meat sauce. Again a big hit with the guests. No leftover chicken Alfredo, and all the dishes were delicious. Easy peasy!
Giovanni, the owners Son was assisting us most of the night. He was so attending to our needs and made us laugh along the way. I think he needs to work there full time, he provides the best service and that’s exactly what we look for when we go out to eat. Thanks again for all my carrots and pepperchinis!
NOT TO MENTION THE FOOD, absolutely amazing as always my favorite Italian place around.
All I can say is yummmm! Brent ordered a mini pizza ..absolutely loved it Lol. My Italian Sub was excellent!
We will be coming back!!
Absolutely delicious!! I ordered multiple party trays for my 50th birthday celebration and Fratellino’s did not disappoint. I can’t tell you how many people raved about the food all night long and messaged me for days afterward. We ordered the Chicken Marsala, the Baked Mostaccioli, Spinach Ravioli w/Pink sauce and the Chicken Alfredo. The trays arrived on time, piping hot, and abundantly full!! The delivery driver was well organized, helped us set them up into the chafing dishes and was quick!! And the prices can’t be beat…I shopped around and they have the best prices around, let alone, the best food by far!!! And the staff members in restaurant who helped us with our order were so nice, professional and helpful. We will use them again and again!! Thank you for helping to make my celebration extra special!!
I’ve been craving Italian food and I read so many great reviews about this place. I used the Yelp Waitlist to ‘get in line’ while driving to the restaurant. Expect around a 30-40 minutes wait on a Friday night for a table of 2.
We ordered the Veal Marsala and Baked Gnocchi and added the complete meals options to both meals (add $2.50 for salad or soup, 4oz glass of house wine, garlic bread, and ice cream). The gnocchi was definitely fresh made.
For the price, it was definitely a decent place to eat and have a meal. We had enough for one person’s meal left over.
My favorite Italian restaurant!! Great lunch specials and complimentary glass of wine with your meal. The service is friendly and fast, we always try to get seated at Mandy’s table. Highly recommend this place.
